A one-day course to introduce you to key skills in telling a story from memory. Think camp fires, grandparents, and good, old-fashioned entertainment.
These skills are useful when preparing any sort of presentation. And the practice of speaking in front of others, without the floor opening up and swallowing you whole, is a fantastic confidence boost. And so much fun ... it really is.
We will improvise stories to get our juices flowing and then consider the things that make a good story, the blend of action and description in storytelling, the huge gift that is silence, and top tips for calming our nerves.
And remember, we are all hard-wired to tell and listen to stories.
The course will run at The Quirky Community Hub in Hoylake, 10am - 5pm. Bring your own lunch (or pre-order one from Quirky), tea, coffee, biscuits and cakes will be provided.
£50 for the day. A limited number of concession spaces available on request.
Spaces limited to 10.
